Winter. The months where we hibernate indoors and share plenty of cuddles with our minis. It's about this time of year; that we get many questions about how to keep baby warm in winter at night, and rightly so, it's confusing. You don't want to underdress or overdress them. If just that sentence has you spinning, we got you.
We've reached that time of year where the nights are lighter, and the sun is setting late (hello summer, and balmy nights ahead!). This time change is a crowd-pleaser, we technically lose an extra hour of sleep but we gain summer!
While moving the clock forward one hour is something that makes us sleepy for a couple of days, our adult bodies adjust to the change reasonably quick.
Summer is just around the corner! Which means carefree days at the beach, pool-side BBQ's, ice cream sundaes, and sun tired little ones... We all know that afeeling after a full day in the sun - pure happiness and utter exhaustion. For many reasons, the sun can really take it out of you! Here are a few tips to make sure your littles stay cool, comfortable and protected during the summer heat as well as how ergoPouch can help support your sleep during summer.
Sunday marked the start of daylight savings time. And, if you’re like most parents everywhere, Sunday also marked the beginning of a nightmare week (or several) of bedtime shenanigans from your children. A handful of you very, on-the-ball, organized, planner-types probably started moving your child’s bedtime 10-15 minutes later every day before the time change happened
Sleep is a journey, not a destination and the below sleep graph shows us exactly that. In the first 18 months of your baby's sleep, there will be many moments of, ‘oh I so have this’ but also followed by ‘I just need more sleep’.
There are so many studies that claim to prove the number of hours a baby should sleep. But these studies vary on what the exact number should be. The fact is, as humans, we don’t conform to an exact science - we’re all different. That’s the very reason there will be variations in what the research tells us and variation in how much your baby will sleep.
Perhaps you're expecting your first mini, you’re adding to your family and need a quick refresher, or your baby is about to have a baby, and you want to relearn to lend a hand – congratulations to all of you! Whatever the reason, we understand how overwhelming it can be whenever a mini is on the way. Our job is to guide you through the process of swaddling and answer all your burning questions around why and how to swaddle baby for safe sleep. As many of us are mothers ourselves, we've been where you are, and we want to ensure you feel supported as you enter into this journey of newborn sleep.
Introducing, the stylish way to keep unwanted light out of your child's room, the Window Blockout. Forget tin foil, plastic bin bags and cut up paper, our Window Blockout will change the game for your home, hotel, grandparents or an Airbnb.
Traveling with an infant or toddler can be stressful. Often little ones are super curious and become over stimulated with all the hustle and bustle of an airport, all the gadgets in the plane, new people, lights, loud noises etc.
SLEEP ROUTINE CHART: Make a visual sleep chart of our steps in the sleep routine so your child can see and know what is next. You can even take pictures of them doing their routine, print them out and use the pictures of them doing the routine for their chart. Have them involved in making the chart (even if they are putting fun stickers on it) so they feel a part of the process.
