The Hip Harness Cocoon Swaddle Sack has been tested to fit the Pavlik Harness, Denis Browne Brace and Rhino Brace. Please use your child's weight and height to find the most appropriate and safe size for them. To comply with safety requirements, our Cocoon Swaddle Sacks have a firm fit around the neck, shoulder and chest area to prevent your little one from slipping inside. You should be able to put 2 fingers inside the neck opening for the correct fit. Please do not size up to the next size until your child meets the weight requirement, for safety reasons. When on your child, the swaddle will have additional length below the harness. This length can be left as is, or rolled up underneath the harness for your child's brace to rest on, if that's comfortable for them. Once your child is out of their hip harness, they can continue to safely use the Cocoon Swaddle Sack until they are ready to move into another one of our Sleep Sacks.

Having an active sleeper who moves around a lot and busts out of swaddles in the middle of the night, these are the magic trick ( or at least they are for us). Our baby is nice and warm all night, regardless of how much they’re moving around. Also, just the tight amount of tightness to prevent a premature awakening from their startle reflex. We used these with my first and now are reusing (though the hip harness ones are new) with our second.
The hip harness opening specifically is great. Enough room for them to move around in below the belly button, but tight enough up by their arms to help them feel secure. The ONLY reason I am giving this 4 instead of 5 stars is the interior material used. With a baby in the Pavlik brace, the Velcro starts to snag and pull at the material. Over time, this greatly worsens. Hopefully we’re not in the brace for much longer, because I don’t know how long this would last of that were the car. Lining the inside of the sleep sack with a non-snagging material (say 100% cotton) could help fix that issue. But other than the inside material, we absolutely love our ergo pouches! Have one for every stage up until 18 months! Definitely recommended to anyone and everyone I know who is expecting!

Love this swaddle for my hip dysplasia girly! Makes us feel so supported that a company makes this special design! Taking off one star because the tight part is a little longer than we want it to be so we end up bunching it up to keep it from constricting her hips.

This has been a great sleeping bag for babies with HDD, it fits my three month old perfectly and keeps her warm. Definitely recommend for everyone to try it !! Great product!!
