The cardigan works great as a transition from the traditional swaddle. We put it over a sleeveless sleepsack. Swaddling is not as common a practice in germany so there aren't as many of these types of products here like some of the competitors in the US for example . I like that you can use those with any kind of sleep sack. My daughter liked using it from the first night.

Beautiful product and great quality - unfortunately too small for my newborn. My 3 week old baby has very long arms and they did not fit inside the 0-3 month size cardi, and the cardi only just fit across his chest. I would happily recommend the product to but I would suggest buying a size up if you have a bigger baby
